Google Calendars
Naming Conventions
Cross-Study Calendars (e.g., Psychophys, Lunch, Hotel)
- When scheduling events on cross-study calendars, such as Psychophys, Lunch, or Hotel, it's important to include both the study name and the family ID in the event title.
- E.g. ENTER IN AN EXAMPLE
- This practice is particularly crucial when the event pertains to billing, as it helps maintain clarity and accurate record-keeping.
Assessment Events (Including Study-Specific Calendars like ABCD)
- For most assessment events, including those on study-specific calendars like ABCD, we follow a standardized naming convention. The event title should include:
- The study name.
- The specific time point of the assessment.
- The family ID associated with the assessment, following the historically used format.
- E.g. ENTER IN AN EXAMPLE
- This comprehensive event naming convention ensures that assessment events are easily identifiable and organized. It's essential for maintaining consistency and facilitating efficient tracking of assessment-related activities across different studies.
Scheduling Across Calendars
When using multiple Google Calendars, there's no need to create separate events on each calendar. You can easily cross-post events by inviting other Google Calendars, similar to inviting guests, to ensure that all resources are updated and everyone stays on the same page. To invite another calendar, just type its full name, and it will appear as an option.
